Hybrid Urdu channel VTV to launch in UK in January
A new
Urdu infotainment channel, VTV is set for launch in the UK on Sky in January,
BizAsiaLive.com can exclusively reveal.
The
hybrid service will source programming from various Pakistani broadcasters and
independent producers from Pakistan and the UK. VTV has also agreed a deal to
run fictions and reality shows from Entertainment Express.
VTV
recently signed an EPG agreement and will launch in sometime in January after
technical tests have been carried out.
VTV
has hired Erum Masood as consultant to advise on the running of the channel.
Masood previously lead programming at Prime TV and has a wealth of broadcasting
experience in Pakistan.
